We're looking for a mid-level developer to help build and maintain our next generation of R&D systems. We have a modern stack and lots of interesting development opportunities. The development group is fairly small, affording each developer the chance to make a big difference in the lives of our users as well as our overall technical direction. Our stack currently includes ASP.NET (Core), MVC, Web API, EF, SQL Server, Lucene, MSMQ, WPF, Angular (and more) and we're constantly evaluating other technologies to integrate into the landscape, particularly as our SOA matures.


This is a full stack development position which will involve working across all phases of the development lifecycle. You will be asked to:

  • Implement according to a spec
  • Perform limited design tasks
  • Make estimates
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Customize and integrate with third-party systems
  • Contribute to the build/release system

Candidates should be competent in the following areas:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including debugging
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement (both technical and process)
  • Initiative to tackle problems which may involve limited supervision.


Required Skills / Experience

  • 4+ years professional application development
  • 3+ years in C# ASP.NET (MVC or Web API)
  • 2+ years developing JavaScript or a wrapper language (e.g. TypeScript, CoffeeScript, etc.)
  • Web Front End technologies (HTML5 / CSS) and a CSS Framework such as Bootstrap
  • All phases of SDLC
  • Agile methodologies
  • Entity Framework
  • Angular / TypeScript
  • Git
  • SQL Server

Preferred Experience

  • Angular
  • WPF
  • CI
  • Unit and Integration Testing
  • Experience Developing Applications in Chemical or Petroleum Fields
  • Experience with LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebooks, or other Analytical Tools

Hiring Process

Candidates will initially participate in a brief, technical phone screen. Moving forward, the candidates will be invited to an on-site interview which will include a brief code test.
