Senior FP&A Analyst

Location UK-Bracknell


1. Enable better business decision making through:

  • Provision of reliable, understandable and relevant data;
  • Challenging assumptions, actions and priorities
  • Delivery of insight into past and future financial performance through reporting and analytics

2. As a key partner to the business, represent and promote Finance as a value adding part of ongoing business operations.


Occasional travel to other Afton locations within the EMEAI region and Richmond, VA for projects & training.


1. Business partnering with our Commercial Vehicle and Industrial business unit:

  • Act as key point of contact for this business unit, providing accurate and insightful monthly reporting
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to business managers on non-regular activity such margin improvement and other commercial activity

2. GS&A reporting and cost centre support

  • Act as business partner to the GS&A cost centre owners in the EMEAI region to support them managing their costs and achieving spend targets

3. Other:

  • Support the EMEAI Leadership Team, with key business objectives and goals
  • Help to deliver robust and value added long and short-term planning processes into the Region (LRP, AOP, rolling forecasting)
  • Act as business partner to the Emerging Markets team (Russia, Middle East, India, Africa)
  • Supporting a range of commercial projects such as; large deal evaluation, distributor channel review, pricing activity, eMobility and external market analysis.
  • Assist with the continued embedding of the FP&A function as a partner to the business in delivering business understanding and better decision making



Qualified accountant, MBA or similar post graduate attainment.



  • Exceptional data handling and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail
  • A focus on outcomes and the “so what”, “now what”
  • An ability to draw and present easily understandable issue and resolution from the complex
  • Commercial in outlook and analytical by nature
  • Proactive approach to problem solving including the anticipation of likely questions raised
  • Excellent inter personal skills, able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation from Executive down. Demonstrably strong customer service approach
  • Ideally from a manufacturing (standard costing) background
  • Adaptable system skills. Willingness to learn new systems. SAP, BPC, Tableau and Bloomberg experience desirable
  • Tenacity to productively challenge and escalate solutions to the benefit of the business
