The position is primary responsible for cost accounting and analysis, financial closing and reporting, fixed asset accounting, inventory management, and related activities at the Singapore manufacturing plant.

It partners directly with the operations team to support initiatives such as process and cost improvement, plant expansion, new product commissioning and variance analysis.

It also supports the Singapore Senior Accounting Supervisor to ensure effective internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as well as tax, audit and other statutory compliance.


  • Plant Accounting
    • Perform cost and production accounting activities such as developing cost estimates and perform initiate setup for new products, maintaining standard costs, routing and Bill of Material (BOM), reviewing open production orders and manufacturing variances.
    • Analyze/settle production order variances and follow up on changes needed as a result of analyzing variances (i.e. propose bill of material changes, cost estimate updates, scheduling agreements etc.).
    • Prepare periodic inventory reconciliation and analyze/post inventory count variances. Follow up with operations regarding discrepancies to improve accuracy and timeliness in inventory counts.
    • Process/review supplier invoices for recording accuracy and ensure in line with costs structure.
    • Monitor and define cost accounting process and related activities to ensure effective internal controls
    • Perform fixed asset accounting, including capital project reviews, asset capitalization, idle asset reporting, and the physical count of fixed assets.
    • Involve in month-end closing and year-end closing.
    • Prepare monthly management reports such as review and analysis of monthly plant expenses and explain variances against budget.
    • Prepare cost statements for Free Trade Agreement qualification.
    • Providing support to operations team, toll manufacturing agents, etc. on initiatives such as process and cost improvement.  Work cross-functionally to improve process and drive standardization (leveraging best practices across other production sites)
    • Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
    • Perform any other ad-hoc task and projects that may be assigned.


  • Degree in Accounting or experience in related fields or Professional qualification eg. ACCA, CIMA.
  • At least 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment;
  • Experience with SAP is preferred;
  • Good Excel skill;
  • Effective analytical skill;
  • Great initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Good communication skill, written and oral;
  • Embrace growing and dynamic environment and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Willing and able to work in Jurong Island
