TITLE:                           Field Trial Coordinator EMEAI

FUNCTION:                 OEM, Hamburg

SCOPE:                         Regional & Global                                                                                          

REPORTS TO:              Senior OEM Relationship Specialist




Travel within the region to OEM’s, Customers and field test locations. Occasional travel to US Headquarters and other regions outside of EMEAI as required.





  • Arrange automotive field trials for the following business units: Crankcase, Fuels, Driveline, Off-Road and Industrial
  • Support OEM/Marketing/CTS or Sales Managers on new field tests for formulation development, OEM approvals, product performance demonstration and competitive benchmarking
  • Review field test procedures and propose improvements.
  • Cost calculation of field test projects and budgeting project management of field trials in Accolade
  • Regular update of all stakeholders (OEM/Marketing/Sales/CTS) on field test progress
  • Technical customer service and support
  • Organization and control of field trial operation.
  • Planning and organization of field trial hardware inspections with customers and OEMs
  • Coordination and training of external resources, laboratories, contract companies, test institutes and workshops
  • Evaluation, interpretation and reporting of field trial results, internally and externally (to OEMs and Customers)
  • Support Sales/Marketing/OEM/CTS by creating reports and emphasizing Afton strength and weaknesses uncovered in field trials
  • Support R&D with product improvements based on weaknesses uncovered in field trials.
  • Develop and maintain relationship to fleet operators 




  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Basic experience in project management
  • Knowledge of vehicle technology, fuel system, drive train, hydraulic systems
  • Fluent German & English language – spoken and written
  • Basic electronic data processing knowledge    
  • Lubricant additive application knowledge
  • Advanced project management experience, handling of multiple international project
  • Advanced experience in electronic data processing and management
