Senior Finance Analyst

Overview

A strong business partnering role; performs timely and insightful financial analysis to support the region leadership team to drive profitable business growth.

Responsible to develop financial models and provide in-depth analysis with respect to operations, investment, risks, and opportunities, to facilitate business planning and decision making in the region.  An effective team player who values teamwork and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop successful relationships with key Business partners and decision makers
  • Establish good working relationship with FPA and Finance colleagues and the broader organization
  • Monthly Financial Deck and Margin Analysis
  • Business and Customer Profitability Analysis and Reporting
  • Develop key performance metrics to track performance and trends for continuous improvement
  • Support Region initiatives to achieve AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and LRP (Long Range Plan)
  • With a thorough understanding of the drivers of profitability in the business, provide support in value management. Facilitate pricing team in pricing structure and deal evaluation for continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain financial models where required for feasibility or sensitivity studies
  • Provide support in the development of Business Intelligence systems and financial literacy training to the business teams
  • Facilitate the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and forecasting process
  • Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the additive business environment and Afton’s business goals and objectives to ensure effective interaction and engagement with all levels of management

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or related disciplines
  • More than 5 years of related financial experience preferably in a US GAAP or IFRS environment with an MNC.  At least 3 years of budgeting, financial analysis and management reporting at regional level
  • Experience with SAP reporting; experience with Business Intelligence software will be an asset
  • Excellent Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.  Candidate with tableau knowledge will be an advantage
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated and willing to take on new and challenging tasks at short notice
  • Leadership skill; demonstrates ability to motivate and engage with the team
  • Good Business Acumen and open to new ideas and learning
  • Good team player within and across functions
  • Eye for detail and numerical accuracy
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Integrity and principled-based work ethics
