The role will be office based, in Bracknell.

 

We have two exciting opportunities to join our Customer Technical Service (CTS) team within Afton Chemical Ltd. The CTS team are a commercially focussed technical team. We work closely with the customer as well as with Marketing and Sales teams to grow our business and ensure that our products meet what the customer requires.

This role provides a great opportunity to work across different geographies with a range of industry customers. You will be surrounded by a strong team who will help you to develop, including growing your technical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

The key duties of the role are:

  1. Develop understanding of Afton’s technology, products and claims.
  2. Develop deep understanding of industry test requirements, customer test requirements and associated specifications to support discussions with internal stakeholders such as R&D, OEM, Sales & Marketing.
  3. Manage projects inline with Afton’s processes and systems.
  4. Manage customer accounts with guidance and support from senior CTS colleagues.
  5. Develop and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  6. Undertake special assignments as directed.
  7. Investigate and resolve routine customer concerns with support from colleagues as needed.
  8. Assist CTS colleagues in the completion of required approval documentation and technical reports.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or science related degree. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to influence as well as have a strong desire to develop their skillsets. This role involves working effectively with internal stakeholders as well as directly with customers.
