We have a great opportunity for an experienced analyst to join our Pricing team.
The role will be office based (full time) at our Bracknell site in the UK.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Responsible for guiding BU Marketing Managers (Lubes & Fuels) to maximise profitability, administer Afton’s pricing system & ensure compliance to legal and ethical standards.
Margin Management
Develop and build framework and tools to provide revenue analysis, supporting better management decisions and find revenue growth opportunities
Understanding of value-based pricing and its relevance to optimizing margin.
Compiles and reviews internal and external data to make better pricing decisions. Analyse opportunities to optimise pricing where possible and act as a consultant to the Marketing Managers regarding best practice
Establish a framework to continually evaluate competitors and marketplace dynamics & assess the impact of those drivers on the business and propose pricing recommendations
Support P4S initiatives using enhancements to pricing structure e.g. tier pricing, freight accruals, rebates
Track key business metrics (e.g. sales, share, value perception, margin) to evaluate and refine pricing.
Review & maintain pricing mechanisms
Implement price changes as necessary to maintain category pricing strategies
Supports and guides sales in optimising deals during the quotation process
Pricing Administration & Compliance
Manage Price Approval process for the Region
Coordinate Price Approval system development
Liaise with Accounting to ensure accurate & prompt payment of rebates & commissions
Conduct quarterly review of all pricing to ensure compliance to contractual terms for the EMEAI region & assist other regions to consolidate compliance globally
Maintain CAP List for EMEAI and ensure alignment with the Global minimum MPA
Maintain Product Catalogue (HiTEC number issue) – control of numbering system for region
Derive KPIs to ensure that pricing administration is efficient and communicate compliance to senior management
Part-Qualified Accountant or Pricing Specialist – Financial, Economics or Marketing Qualifications to Degree Level
Good understanding of pricing principles
Good interpersonal & influencing skills, with the ability to advise Sales, Marketing and IT
Ability to communicate at all levels
Strong analytical capability with good organisational skills
Demonstrates strong business acumen
Business experience in order to understand the implications/impact of pricing decisions on the company’s profitability (essential)
Demonstrate strong customer (internal) service skills
Able to prioritise own workload and influence others to ensure deadlines are met
Good Excel (Understanding macros would be desirable) / Powerpoint skills
Experience of SAP CO-PA & Logistics (desirable)
