We have a great opportunity for a Sales professional who wants to continue to develop their career within a unique industry. The role will be working closely with a global customer to continue to develop a strong relationship and networks along with contributing to the strategic direction of the account. With support from the Account Director and working closely with key internal stakeholders, this role will also look to ensure appropriate business resources to support the initiatives and business plan.


The ideal candidate will have Sales experience and exposure to working on strategic accounts that require relationship development.



The key duties of the role are:

  • Develop and maintain effective, service-oriented relationships with key customer contacts.  Understand and communicate customer current and future needs and expectations to appropriate parties.
  • Identify viable business opportunities and provide analysis, recommendations and strategy for obtaining the business. Working with the account director, develop, gain support and implement long range goals, strategies and program investments.  Implement and manage short-term objectives and support tactics to ensure optimum results.
  • Provide input to the business direction for the account. Ensure adequate resources to support agreed account initiatives. With the account director, define budgets to support business plans and strategies. Implement and manage approved expenditures as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Provide input to the development and implementation of market and pricing policies and the long-range plan. Implement new pricing and prepare account forecasts. With the account director, develop and manage business plans for your account that are consistent with forecasts.
  • Review invitations to bid and prepare quotations for presentation within the indicated deadline.  Provide appropriate subsequent follow-up to maximize opportunities.
  • Consult with R&D, CTS, and/or the business group to coordinate development of customer specific technical requirements.
  • Obtain and communicate competitive intelligence with respect to pricing, technical progress, marketing efforts, selling techniques, etc.
  • Ensure the completion of timely accurate sales documentation, monthly sales forecasts, trip/call reports, etc. Assist in the collection of receivables as necessary.
  • Develop, encourage and manage the interface with other functional groups to facilitate strong effective teamwork. Encourage input/participation as appropriate and ensure  appropriate dissemination of information to concerned parties


A degree in a commercial or technical subject would be preferable

Exposure or experience within a commercial role and customer facing role would be preferable

  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to research, analyze and resolve problems and conflicts effectively
