Engineer / Tribologist

Location UK-Bracknell

Overview

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic team-player to join our Mechanical Testing team using engineering knowledge and understanding of petroleum additive performance to guide product development in addition to developing fundamental mechanisms for understanding performance.

As a key member of the Mechanical lab, the expectation would be to take a hands-on approach to our testing and problem solving, be an integral part of all solutions and where applicable, lead OEM’s, customers or the industry to solutions that are technically sound while protecting Afton’s interests and capabilities.

The selected individual will be responsible for maintaining and/or upgrading test apparatus as required, processing and validating test data, tracking test severity, ensuring customer needs are being met, communicating with the Mechanical Test team to ensure productive and efficient testing, representing Afton Chemical and always looking for ways to improve our testing and efficiency.
