An excellent opportunity for someone with a core foundation in engineering (automotive, chemical, mechanical or similar), who is looking to take on a role that will act as the interface between R&D and customers, while supporting sales and marketing teams.

You will be delivering solutions for specialty fuels customers by understanding their needs & applications, developing and recommending products, providing proof of performance data, and offering insightful advice for technical & industry related questions.

The fuels area is currently a dynamic space with alternative low-carbon fuels coming to the market and with new vehicle and product demonstrations required. The successful applicant will work in this exciting area to deliver the best possible customer solutions as part of a diverse and broadly skilled technical team.

• Understanding Afton’s product line chemistry and claims.
• Developing a deep understanding of industry test requirements, customer test requirements and associated specifications and how those tests can be influenced by Afton chemistry.
  • Work with analytical, R&D and mechanical labs to plan and execute testing.
  • Work with CTS, R&D, OEM, Sales and Marketing to understand current and future market trends, requirements, and applications.
  • Support Marketing and Sales to ensure customer account management and communications are aligned.
  • Attend industry meetings to influence future specifications.
• Managing projects with CTS stage gate process.
• Interacting with and managing assigned customer accounts.
• Developing and delivering presentations to internal and external customers.
• Investigating and resolving routine customer concerns under supervision of CTS Manager or colleagues.
• Understanding and complying with Afton’s safety, quality and ethics policies and procedures.
• Assisting CTS colleagues in the completion of required approval documentation and technical reports.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated understanding of CTS functions typically acquired through relevant experience in the petrochemical or automotive industry.
