We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Coordinator to join our Hamburg Sales team. The role will provide support to the Sales team working directly with customers and liaisng with internal teams across the region.

Responsibilities

Receive, research, and respond to customer inquiries concerning logistical, technical, business and accounting issues and general customer activities.

 

Assist in the preparation of customer presentations, letters, contracts, sales agreements, and other correspondence as requested by researching required data and providing drafts for approval by senior staff.

 

Prepare or assist in preparation of various reports to management including, but not limited to, quarterly sales variance reports, market share reports, training manuals and marketing literature, etc.

 

Assist in the preparation of sales budget, strategic account plans and sales forecasts, and input new prospects, transitions, losses & gains into the Opportunity Management system.

 

Maintain database on customers to include records on purchases and pricing, shipping, billing, and credit information for various customer locations. 

 

Assist in the preparation of material for sales calls, industry meetings and visits to customer plant and headquarters facilities.

 

Assist in coordinating and closing any customer concerns and communicate status to account manager and customer.

 

Contribute to the delivery of presentations to customers and visit customer facilities to provide technical, marketing, or logistical support as necessary. Coordinate and ensure appropriate resolution/completion to customer technical service requests.

 

Act as liaison for assigned Customers with other Afton departments (finance, accounting, etc.).

 

Qualifications

  • Sales / Sales Co-Ordinator experience is essential
  • Experience in the Petrochemical additive or petroleum industry is an asset
  • Good academic background
  • Strong language skills - English & German compulsory
  • Demonstrates understanding of sales, business, and marketing principles
  • Willing to grow in a bigger role in the future
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Able to take direction and translate it into appropriate actions
  • Demonstrate computer literacy
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in communicating with external customers
  • Minimal travel required
