APAC Local Desktop Support and Regional Network Support.
Responsibilities
Maintain the image of the User Support Group as the first and best resource for enhancing IT productivity in the company. Assist Users with all areas of desktop support, and work to define their needs. Evaluate existing systems and offer alternatives to improve functionality together with Richmond IT teams.
Ensure availability of all APAC networking systems. Act as 1st line support in Singapore, escalation support for Service Desk at other APAC facilities. Anticipate possible threats to this environment and recommend improvements or opportunities to cut costs.
Design, operate, secure and optimize the network environment, to include:
Cisco based switching, routing, CUCM phone systems, and other solutions
VLAN design and support
MPLS, IWAN and EIGRP/BGP routing
DMZ design and security
Wireless (Aruba)
Firewall and VPN configuration and monitoring
Web Collaboration tools (Webex/Microsoft Teams)
DNS configuration
Circuit provisioning and modification
Physical wiring
Responsible for APAC networking assent management to include:
Planning and implementation for all network changes
Patching, Change Management and Maintenance of configuration information and or scripts
Operating System Security, Monitoring Procedures and Log analysis
Procurement recommendations and Support continuity
Know and adhere to all IT processes and procedures; surface gaps and assist in drafting new procedures.
Keep APAC and Richmond IT leadership informed of emerging and recurring problems while working to find solutions.
Assist in all AP IT projects, including new lab setups, new Singapore plant, regional new offices, office moves, etc. Work with all cross functional teams and global IT team to make sure IT infrastructure are setup properly and on time.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Relevant professional certifications
Minimum 4 years of Cisco or equivalent networking experience AND
CCNA or equivalent certification, training, and/or architecting experience.
Minimum 2 years of direct user IT support (can be concurrent with above.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Highly Proficient in network design and engineering
Strong CISCO VoIP (Voice over IP) background or certification.
Effective diagnostic and trouble shooting skills
Working knowledge
Microsoft On Premise Networking
Microsoft Office365 network support
Cloud network support (especially Azure and AWS)
ISE or similar RADIUS and Network Access Control
Willingness and ability to travel between 10-20% (primarily China, Japan, Singapore and the United States).
Effective oral and written communication skills, to include Chinese and English.
Demonstrate initiative, customer service orientation and effective interpersonal skills
