Overview

The Maintenance Scheduler/Planner position is responsible for assisting with the development of reliability based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance. This position will work independently and with other plant personnel to plan, schedule and coordinate preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning activities associated with completing preventative maintenance work orders and reactive work orders.
  • Determination of and procurement of repair and or replacement parts.
  • Developing working schedules for weekly maintenance activities.
  • Evaluate current planning and scheduling practices and determine future plan requirements.
  • Developing turnaround schedules.
  • Ability to perform turnaround lead function.
  • Coordinate/manage daily maintenance schedule execution with operations coordinator and maintenance supervision.
  • Perform reporting of key maintenance KPI's and PM compliance status.
  • Create, review, revise and release preventative maintenance work orders within SAP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade degree preferred.
  • Have at least 5-10 years’ experience in maintenance planning & scheduling.
  • Ability to build and use maintenance library for repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
  • Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software & SAP.

  • Process Safety Management-Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 standard for Process Safety Management.
  • Emergency Response-Includes both internal and external response to plant.
