Overview

Responsible for the development and management of daily/weekly work plans as well as assigning and directing contract employees in the Maintenance, Operations, and Repair of plant equipment and infrastructure. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates activities with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Outside Contractors.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all work follows Afton’s safety procedures and permitting requirements.
  • Maintains records of work performed, work order tracking, and hours worked by all construction trades.
  • Ensures that all Contractors are executing contract maintenance per the approved work order scope and Afton’s specifications.
  • Ensures that Maintenance work orders progress on time and on budget.
  • Plans and schedules the delivery of materials and labor required by the Contractors and updates the project plan via a detailed schedule where possible.
  • Participates in the negotiating and analysis of all competitive bid packages for Maintenance work.
  • Develops a strategy (manpower forecasting) for the current Maintenance schedule on hand as well as future Maintenance work.
  • Supports the Area Maintenance Supervisor in scheduling work to be done in the field.
  • Monitors daily progress to keep account of expenditures, job delays, etc.
  • Identify and report any potential deviations in the field to the Area Maintenance Supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Construction Management degree preferred (or related technical degree)
  • 5 years Maintenance Coordination/Construction Management experience
  • Chemical/Petrochemical industry experience preferred
  • Experience in forecasting and resource scheduling
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Microsoft Project, SAP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes
