The purpose of the Senior Supply Planning coordinator role is to manage the production plan & operations requirements at the Singapore plant. He/she should, on a daily basis, manage the plan and associated material movements required to achieve the plan and to ensure timely fulfilment of orders. At the manufacturing site, the role will be centered on the management of production unit schedules. The proper execution of the role should enable best utilization of production facilities and should enable the right product being available for customers in the right time and in the right location.
1. Seek and interpret inputs from across the organization to build a production plan that will drive operational activity in line with the business objectives.
2. Develop requirement plans for plant to ensure the plant is operating in line with Afton’s planned requirements and ensure timely availability.
3. Derive and provide direct coordination/liaison with internal and external stakeholders on forecasts, requirements, needs and PO placements.
4. Manage the import and/or export of components or products to support the demand plan activities.
5. Maintain an understanding of short-term capacity availability and constraints. Work with internal teams to manage order prioritization and balance fulfilment for plants’ inbound materials. In situations of constraints, evaluate overall availability within Asia/global to re-balance supply through close engagement with supply planning supervisor, supply planning manager, product manager and region logistics.
6. Manage inventory levels within target ranges for key materials and key locations. The aim is to have adequate materials to maintain supply without increasing working capital costs at an acceptable level.
7. Support master data clean up and maintenance to drive consistent and standardized processes.
8. Respond to changes in plan in a timely manner. In addition to updating material movement requirements, this should also include highlighting likely impact of these changes to the supply planning supervisor and manager. This is to ensure that the impact of these changes are understood across regional/global team.
9. Be aware of, and support where necessary, other Supply operations within the region to ensure that Planning activities are aligned with Logistics and Procurement objectives.
10. Support weekly and monthly inventory and other ad-hoc reports for both Demand and Supply Planning team.
11. Support company quality and safety systems through day-to-day activities and via formal feedback mechanisms as required.
