Overview

Maintain existing sales for assigned account assignments and assist in development of new sales by establishing and coordinating sales leads 

 

This role will be Paris based

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and preparation for customer sales calls. 

 

Assist with preparation of a strategic sales plan that communicates to key personnel, sales goals, and account segmentation. Negotiating consensus and agreement to the plan with sales management and the business group as directed.  Analyze and recommend updates of the strategies and tactics of this plan yearly.

 

Help develop key contact with strategic decision makers to include technical, purchasing, and marketing on assigned accounts and promote the sale of Afton products. 

 

Prepare administrative reports and submit sales forecasts/draft AOP/expense budgets, price approvals, no-waiver specs, etc. to Sales Director/Sale Management as directed. 

 

Answer basic customer requests for information and manage activities required to solve customer problems keeping the manager advised of activities. 

 

Participate in the Stage Gate Process to develop internal justification and support for key customer projects. 

 

Participate on internal cross-functional teams in support of business objectives.

 

Stay abreast of industry insights and technology changes 

Qualifications

BS degree in Marketing, Business or Technical/Science field

Demonstrated sales skills and business acumen

 

Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Fluent language skills - French and English

Effective presentation skills

Able to organize and format technical information to accommodate customer needs

Computer literate with regard to Afton applications

Demonstrate initiative and creativity and the ability to proactively resolve potential issues

Demonstrate understanding of Afton's finance and budgeting process

Understand business and marketing analysis and is able to apply data and insight to sales activities and strategies

Able to work with minimal direct supervision

Demonstrate a basic knowledge of sales principles, theories and practices

Demonstrate a basic understanding of petroleum additive market and competitive environment

Has knowledge of industry specifications, some knowledge of refinery operations and processes

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, integrity and honesty

Able to travel as required (up to 50% of time)
