JOB SUMMARY

Take full responsibility for day-to-day transactional Treasury matters for the EMEAI region including bespoke projects and all related credit admin.

Responsibilities

  1. Liaising with house banks
  2. Maintain accurate and up to date Bank Account Management records
  3. Production of short-term daily cash forecasts daily and supporting the production of 13-month cash forecasts
  4. Monthly retrieval and reconciliation of bank listings in relation to contingent liabilities (guarantees), and quarterly reporting
  5. Ensure controls affecting Treasury (both internal controls and legally required) are adhered to and records kept for auditing
  6. Identify requirements for foreign exchange deals and arrange most-advantageous rates/ timing
  7. Responsible for training of all relevant personnel, in any EMEAI office, on the various banking tools at Afton’s disposal
  8. Responsible for proactively managing and delivering discrete operational projects, consulting with the Supervisor as needed and providing key updates
  9. Support checking of documents for boycott and sanctions related countries; co-ordinate with legal on queries.
  10. Manage the administrative process for Letter of credit/Performance Guarantees/Bid Bonds including interaction with bank, sales, customer etc.
  11. Review and sign off credit reviews in set criteria up to the credit limit value of £100k. Forward for escalation when necessary.
  12. Adhoc support on query resolution with open invoices to result in payment on time, working with the AR/AP team where necessary.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Proven experience in:
    • Banking processes
    • Basic accounting principles
    • Basic understanding of money laundering laws and GDPR, and implications of failure to comply
  2. Broad financial experience – to understand the implications on the company and other finance functions of actions, including fx deal implications#

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to prioritise own workload to achieve results to tight deadlines
  2. Strong Excel skills
  3. SAP expertise
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy in workings
  5. Good interpersonal skills – ability to communicate at all levels, internally and externally, both written and orally, and adapting to meet cultural differences
