Job Summary: Support NewMarket Corporation and Subsidiaries (“NewMarket”) insurance strategy, policies, and relationships with insurers to minimize risk. Support NewMarket’s worldwide transfer pricing compliance with tax laws of the approximately 20 countries in which NewMarket operates.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sr. Supervisor to identify and assess risks and have the tools to mitigate or manage risks, including necessary types of insurance and coverage amounts for property, casualty, general liability, cybersecurity, D&O, aviation, and other insurance.
  • Support all aspects of insurance procurement, including collection and analysis of internal data required for policy submissions.
  • Track and maintain documentation of insurance policies and payment of invoices, including follow-up with third party insurance broker when necessary.
  • Maintain Certificates of Insurance, including certificates issued both from and to NewMarket.
  • Gather, analyze, and provide support for all insurance claims, including documentation of financial loss data.
  • Review insurance invoices to confirm premium invoices match policy documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze profitability of NewMarket subsidiaries to maintain compliance with transfer pricing profitability ranges.
  • Enter and maintain intercompany prices in ERP based on transfer pricing guidelines, policies, and risks, including calculation of intercompany prices for new products or new product flows.
  • Provide financial information for annual transfer price reports.
  • Maintain documentation for intercompany agreements.
  • Provide support to Treasury team as needed.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or risk management
  • 3+ years of Finance/Accounting/Risk experience
  • Proficiency with ERP system, Microsoft Office

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to manage conflicting and rapidly changing priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of the organization
