Overview

As an Instrument and Electrical Technician at Calca Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical and instrumentation systems. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs to keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions promptly and efficiently
  • Perform scheduled inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to enhance equipment performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Document maintenance and repair activities for record-keeping
  • Stay current on industry best practices through training and professional development
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required 

Education & Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical degree is a plus
  • Proven experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and control systems
  • Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment
  • Must be knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Maintenance of ISO 9000 certifications for the businesses by complying with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which the role participates

Safety Responsibility

  • Knowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations
