Maintenance Technician

Overview

Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs to facilities, machinery and equipment. Utilizes own knowledge supplemented with information from manuals, schematics, etc., to properly analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

  1. Know, understand and consistently adhere to established safety policies and procedures. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of changes or additions to safety procedures; assist in safety training activities as required.
  2. Aid in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs on systems, equipment and general facilities in assigned areas. Assure that required documentation is completed accurately.
  1. Complete basic adjustments/repairs/modifications on existing equipment/systems or install new systems/equipment as necessary. Aid with contractor activities when appropriate to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
  1. Assure adequate supply levels to support maintenance function related to assigned areas/projects. Order or initiate ordering of parts, components, assemblies and general materials needed to complete assignments.
  1. Ensure completion of mechanical/general building system equipment repairs and services in response to employee generated service requests.
  1. Train operators and other personnel on facilities systems as necessary to allow them to act in a knowledgeable manner in emergency situations when facilities maintenance personnel are unavailable.
  1. Ensure the company campus is aesthetically presentable; clean buildings, functional lighting, roads/sidewalks clear, etc.

 

Qualifications

    • Demonstrated understanding of electrical, mechanical and technical aspects of building maintenance typically acquired through relevant experience
    • Certified Electrical Qualification
